Wli (vlee) waterfalls also known as Agumatsa Falls in the Volta region of Ghana, is the tallest waterfall in West Africa. The waterfall is so tall most visitors only see the bottom half of it, as it has two sections.

To get to the base of the falls prep for a 45 minute low intensity trek that takes you across nine little bridges. Once at the base one can take an hour uphill hike to view the upper half of the waterfall.
At the start of your walk by the car park are some souvenir stores with interesting hand carved souvenirs, jewelry and painting. If anything catches your eye it’s always best to buy it first incase you come back late and they are closed. I bought one of my favourite wooden earrings from there.
Taking in the views along the way.

These falls are a perfect place for a dip, hike, and a picnic, so be sure to pack some food and drinks with you as well as your bathing suit of course.
Thank you to HAWT Tours GH for organizing this trip.
I didn’t get the chance to hike up to the top to see the top half of this magnificent falls, but I definitely will next time. Want to come with me?
