Portia Gana: Movie Award Presenter

I had the privilege of presenting the Best Male Actor in a Leading Role Award at the 2018 Ghana Movie Awards.

The whole event felt like a private affair for a group of friends but it was an interesting experience.

Because the award I was presenting was the second last one of the event I had to stay all the way to the end which had ran several hours behind schedule in typical Ghanaian fashion.

But enough about the awards, let’s talk about my dress. It was a collaborative effort between myself and Tarsha of Jamatarsh designs.

I sketched a combination of two dresses she had made, helped the fabric and assisted with the construction of the dress. I paired it with a vintage wooden purse, natural makeup and hair.
